The Ford Bronco Everglades debuted back in early 2022 as the latest variant of the rugged sixth-generation model, one equipped with an array of unique features from the factory – including a snorkel, raised vents for the front and rear axles, transfer case, and transmission that improve water fording capability to 36.4 inches, and the heavy-duty modular front bumper with a Zeon 10-S Warn winch, to name just a few. However, production of the Ford Bronco Everglades recently ended, which could potentially signal a big change in the lineup.
While overall production at the Michigan Assembly plant increased in a big way this past August, that month also apparently marked the end of Ford Bronco Everglades production as well, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority. However, it’s unclear at this time if the Ford Bronco Everglades is gone for good, or if the more water fording-friendly model will return as part of the 2025 model year lineup.
If this does mark the proverbial (and literal) end of the line for the Ford Bronco Everglades, it won’t be the only variant going away following the 2024 model year, either. As Ford Authority previously reported, the retro-themed Heritage Limited Edition is also being discontinued for 2025. The “limited” portion of the Ford Bronco Heritage Limited name stemmed from the fact that The Blue Oval only planned to build 1,966 units of it and the Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Limited in total – corresponding with the first year of production for the Bronco itself. However, while the 2024 Bronco Sport dropped the Heritage Limited from its lineup, Ford Bronco Heritage Limited production continued into 2024.
Meanwhile, at least part of the Ford Bronco Everglades lives on – its 17-inch Carbonized Gray-painted alloy wheels, which became the new standard wheel for 2024 Ford Bronco models equipped with the Sasquatch Package and applies to all trims except for the Wildtrak and Heritage/Heritage Limited. As for the previously-standard 17-inch Black High Gloss-Painted Aluminum wheel with the Warm Alloy Beauty Ring that’s beadlock capable, that wheel is still available as an extra-cost option on the Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands models with the Sasquatch Package for 2024.
