The sixth-generation Ford Bronco debuted for the 2021 model year following a quarter-century absence in general, and was an immediate hit for The Blue Oval. However, as is almost always the case in the automotive world, the Ford Bronco should be in line for a refresh at some point, a mid-cycle action that was previously expected to occur in the 2025 model year. That no longer seems likely, but following the recent unveiling of the refreshed 2025 Ford Bronco Sport – which debuted for 2021 alongside the Bronco – it seems as if the bigger model may follow suit soon.
According to Automotive News, the Ford Bronco is now expected to get a refresh in the first half of 2025, which should bring forth a handful of updates. Those are expected to include the addition of new tech inside the cabin, along with fresh exterior color options and new accessories. The Bronco is also slated to get a hybrid powertrain option at some point, though that may not be part of the mid-cycle refresh planned for next year.
Though it hasn’t yet been treated to any sort of official refresh, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco continues to get updates with each passing model year. For 2024, that included the addition of the new Ford Bronco Raptor Black Appearance Package, which adds a host of Shadow Black and matte black exterior features to the high-performance off-roader, which also got a new body-color painted hard top option.
As for the regular 2024 Ford Bronco lineup, it also gained a black painted hard top option, which is a feature that was originally expected to debut way back in 2021, but faced years of delays amid supply chain constraints. For those that appreciate darker treatments, Ford also debuted a new Matte Black Package for the Bronco, which is sold as a kit via the Ford Performance catalog.

Not sure what there is to refresh as they pretty much nailed the design esthetic of the original Bronco design. And let’s not hope that their refresh is along the lines of what they did with the Maverick front grill redesign.
