In recent days, The Blue Oval has been teasing the arrival of something special today – which most assumed would be some sort of new sweepstakes involving the Ford Bronco, based on its cryptic social media posts. Now, we know that this is precisely the case after the automaker revealed its latest sweepstakes – the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Searcher contest – which is giving fans the chance to win a unique, one-of-one custom version of that rugged SUV.
The Ford Bronco Sasquatch Searcher contest begins today via that model’s official Instagram account, which aims to have enthusiasts head out on a quest to “locate” the mythical creature known as Sasquatch, or Bigfoot, as it’s otherwise known. Fans have to solve a series of clues across Ford’s social media channels, along with Reddit and “out in the wild,” according to the automaker, via posters and street signs at prime Sasquatch-tracking locations that have a phone number participants can text to receive answers to clues.
In addition to this contest, the automaker has also created a special, one-off version of the Ford Bronco based on the Badlands trim, which it has dubbed the “Sasquatch Searcher.” That special vehicle features a tree camo exterior wrap to help it blend into its surroundings while the driver is out hunting Sasquatch, plus a roof-mounted light bar, hood-mounted light pods, an awning, custom camping chairs, and a custom Sasquatch badge and puddle light on the exterior. Inside the cabin, the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Searcher features supplemental front and rear-facing cameras and screens to help spot Sasquatch, along with custom upholstery and a unique console badge and sill plates.
