Ford Extends SiriusXM Relationship With New Agreement

Though it has faced its fair share of competition from a variety of streaming music platforms in recent years, SiriusXM is still around after collaborating with automakers like Ford for the past couple of decades. It was previously unclear if this would continue to be the case, but now, SiriusXM and Ford have announced that the two companies just signed off on a new multi-year extension – and expansion – of their existing agreement.

The Blue Oval expects to increase the number of vehicles equipped with SiriusXM starting with the 2025 model year, encompassing nearly the entire Ford lineup, as well as Lincoln models. New Ford and Lincoln owners will receive a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM at the time they purchase those vehicles, after which they can continue to utilize the service by paying for a subscription. SiriusXM will be available in a host of refreshed models utilizing the new Ford Digital Experience software, including the 2025 Ford Explorer, 2024 Lincoln Nautilus, 2025 Lincoln Aviator, and 2025 Lincoln Navigator, too.

“We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Ford, a true pioneer in the automotive industry, and are thrilled to continue innovating together as we introduce a new generation of Ford drivers to SiriusXM in their impressive lineup,” said Gail Berger, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Automotive Partnerships, SiriusXM. “Whether you’re looking for an F-150 truck or an all-electric Mustang Mach-E, we’re thrilled to offer a channel for every listener, bringing fans closer to what they love.”

“At Ford, creating the best in-vehicle experience for owners is our priority and we are pleased to continue our collaboration with SiriusXM,” said Chet Dhruna, General Manager Connect and Engage, Ford Motor Company. “Extending the availability of SiriusXM across vehicle lines and powertrains will allow owners to continue to experience SiriusXM content right from the convenience of their in-vehicle screen.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

This is only part of the Sirius XM story. The new digital experience does not support Sirius Travel Link or Sirius Nav and Weather. If you are not a Google user, and I’m not,, you will not be able to access any alternative. Basically, Ford has allowed Google to hijack their customers.

Yup, crap Google is taking over everything. And it requires a subscription too for the Google built in features.
