In recent years, an epidemic of distracted driving has emerged across the globe, and has resulted in an influx of crashes – particularly in the U.S. Whether a driver is distracted by their phone, infotainment system, or potentially intoxicated, we continue to see more and more incidents occur on roadways – oftentimes involving Ford vehicles – as a result of this type of behavior. That was once again on display in this recent video, which shows a Ford Fusion driver struggling to avoid a collision.
Recently posted to Reddit’s legendary Idiots in Cars Subreddit, this video shows the Ford Fusion driver approaching slowing traffic in the fast lane, but they apparently didn’t notice that the cars in front of them were in fact hitting the brakes as things got a bit congested. On the bright side, they at least woke up in time to avoid crashing into the Dodge Durango in front of them, though things didn’t exactly go smoothly from there.
Rather, the Ford Fusion driver slammed on the brakes in dramatic fashion, and it seems as if the car’s anti-lock brakes failed to function properly, as the sedan proceeded to swerve all over the road. Luckily, there was no one present in the center lane when this happened, because the Fusion wound up brushing the concrete median in the middle of the road before moving to that space. Things could have gone much worse, but the whole incident could have also been prevented if the driver was, well, just paying attention to their surroundings.

Regardless, this certainly isn’t the first case of distracted driving we’ve seen on video lately, nor is it the first time in a while that we’ve come across a video of a Ford Fusion involved in some sort of incident. Last year, we saw a Fusion driver try and run from the scene of an accident to no avail, and just last month, a Dodge Caravan pushed another Fusion into a guardrail.
Hopefully, it can be fixed and turned out.
Plus, financing and local market lease deals on the off-road SUV.
They're concerned about rising prices and job protection.

Maybe NHTSA should look into Fusion antilock brake failure.
That's exactly what I was going to say.
