The Ford Fusion may have been discontinued years ago, but the sedan still has a heck of a lot to offer on the used vehicle market, regardless. There, the efficient, affordable, and practical model remains a fan favorite, and as it turns out, the Ford Fusion has a ton of value to offer as a certified pre-owned model in Canada, specifically.
That’s because Vincentric just released its 2024 Best CPO Value in Canada Awards list, and the Ford Fusion Hybrid topped all mid-size passenger cars in that regard thanks to the fact that its ownership costs were four percent lower than expected, and the Fusion had the lowest depreciation cost in its class, too – a list that consists of 23 competitors, which helped it join the PHEV Energi from a couple of years ago, as well as the Lincoln MKZ from a different study.
Vincentric derives this data from its annual cost of ownership analysis, which stems from eight different cost factors – depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. From there, Vincentric plugs its data into a statistical model to determine which models have lower than expected ownership costs when taking into account segment and price, and in this case, every vehicle was evaluated in all ten provinces of Canada, plus the Northwest Territories, using a range of insurance profiles and an annual driving distance of 20,000 kilometers (12,427 miles). Interestingly, this year’s study featured quite a few new faces, too.
“For the third year in a row, we’ve seen a trend of a majority of Best CPO Value in Canada award winners being first-time winners in their segments,” said David Wurster, Vincentric President. “This year saw fourteen first-time winners out of a total of twenty-five vehicle segments. This trend goes to show that Canadian shoppers who are in the market for a CPO vehicle have a wide variety of great-value models to choose from. For shoppers who may be overwhelmed by the decision, the Vincentric Best CPO Value in Canada awards can provide guidance and empower them to shop with confidence.”
And there are a few changes in store for the heavy-duty hauler.
The wreck was worse than it looked.
Pretty tame for a Truck Series race at Talladega.
Closing the week at $10.57 per share.
A number of Blue Oval employees are pitching in, too.
Sales increased 2.7 percent to 1,548,172 units during the first nine months of 2024.

I have a 2014 Fusion Hybrid in Sterling Silver Metallic, just like the one pictuted here. I still get over 50 MPG on some trips and over 30 every day. Just needs one oil change a year. Only parts replaced are the tires, wiper blades, and oil filter. Only fluid ever needed to refill is the washer fluid. Everything else is still factory original parts, even the air filter and brake pads. This is the best vehicle I have ever own since 1972.
Why did Ford stop making the Fusion Hybrid ??
Ford Fusion Hybrid Wins 2024 Best CPO Value In Canada Award.
And it very well could have done the same in the USA, if given the chance.
Since Ford is still producing it, we would love to have this sedan back.
How about a article on the 2020 Fusion, 1.4 turbo model ?
Earlier this year I had the good fortune to acquire a CPO Ford Fusion Hybrid (model year 2020); am quite happy with it. Glad to know it's considered such a good value overall.
Yes, sadly they did stop making it. They should have continued these are great cars. Love my 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE!
