Ford Maverick Production Rebounded In August 2024

Like most new vehicles these days, the Ford Maverick has experienced its fair share of production increases and decreases throughout the entirety of 2024 thus far. Like almost every other FoMoCo model, the Maverick also saw its production output at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico take a sharp dive in the month of July as well, which is typical given the Independence Day holiday and the fact that Ford tends to implement summer shutdowns at some of its plants during that time. Regardless, Ford Maverick production did bounce back in a big way in August.

According to The Blue Oval’s August sales report, Ford Maverick production increased from 7,377 units in July to 14,364 last month, which is a sizable jump of 6,987 units, or nearly 95 percent. This also continues a rather uneven year for the compact pickup, which reached an all-time high in terms of production at 17,669 units in April – an increase of 4,513 units or a whopping 34 percent compared to May. Production then dipped a mere one percent in May to 17,468 units before decreasing by around 5.5 percent in June, to 16,509 units. As of the end of August, Ford Maverick production stands at 118,729 units for the year thus far.

Looking ahead, the 2025 Ford Maverick is set to usher in the compact pickup’s very first refresh after it originally debuted for the 2022 model year. It has received a host of updates, including a revised front fascia, some new exterior colors, and a revamped trim level lineup that has added the Tremor (replacing the old Tremor Off-Road Package) and the sporty Lobo model.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Ford Maverick gets a new 13.2-inch infotainment screen and an eight-inch digital instrument cluster as standard across the lineup, most notably, and all-wheel drive is available with the hybrid powertrain for the first time. However, all of these updates come at a cost, as the 2025 Ford Maverick lineup has been treated to a substantial price increase across the board.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
