Ford Ranger Black Will Also Be Sold In Brazil

Back in March 2021, the all-new Ford Ranger Black debuted for South America as a blacked-out, urban-focused model intended to be a stylish yet capable hauler for those that don’t often venture off the pavement, and it proved to be incredibly popular. Late last month, the next-generation Ford Ranger Black debuted for Argentina, bringing about a host of updates that make it quite different from that older model, though it still features the same sort of dark exterior treatment. Now, Ford has announced that the new Ranger Black will be sold in Brazil, too.

Like the outgoing Ford Ranger Black, the new version features a monochromatic black appearance on the exterior. It also features a dark gray finish on the side mirrors, rear bumper, and “San Antonio” bar, as well as its 18-inch wheels, which are wrapped with 255/65R all-terrain tires. Inside the cabin, there are even more dark finishes to be found, coupled with dark gray appliqués for the instrument panel.

In terms of power, the Ford Ranger Black is available with one option – the turbocharged 2.0L Panther diesel, which is rated to produce 170 horsepower and 405 Nm (299 pound-feet) of torque. It’s mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, interestingly, but this time around, it’s being offered in four-wheel drive guise only, which is notable since the old model could only be had in two-wheel drive configuration. The Blue Oval hasn’t yet revealed pricing for the all-new Ford Ranger Black in any market, though that information – along with other pertinent details – will be shared closer to its official launch.

“The New Ranger Black combines the strength and robustness expected of a real pickup with the style and sophistication of a luxury vehicle,” said Dennis Rossini, Ford’s Marketing Manager. “It’s a pickup truck that redefines the urban experience with its imposing design and cutting-edge technology.”
