The 2023 Ford Super Duty debuted back in September 2022 as a redesigned version of the automaker’s proverbial profit-generating cash cow. That particular action brought forth quite a few updates for the Super Duty, including fresh interior and exterior styling, as well as a brand new powerplant and various other features including BlueCruise. However, it’s seemingly only a matter of time before the Ford Super Duty gets its next refresh.
According to Automotive News, the Ford Super Duty is slated to receive its next refresh in 2026, which is also when production will expand to include a third facility – the Oakville Assembly plant in Canada. Previously slated to build a pair of now-discontinued all-electric three-row crossovers, Oakville was recently tabbed to join the Kentucky Truck plant and the Ohio Assembly plant as locations building the popular model. After this process is completed, the Ford Super Duty will reportedly be treated to a redesign in 2028, too.
As Ford Authority previously reported, Oakville will build a hybrid version of the Ford Super Duty when it comes online at that plant, which will become that model’s first-ever electrified powertrain option. Previously expected to gain a hybrid option as part of its 2023 redesign, that never happened, and the Super Duty was also left out of Ford’s recent announcement that it will offer a hybrid powertrain in every model in the Ford Blue (ICE) lineup by 2030.
In the meantime, the 2023 Ford Super Duty did get more of an evolutionary exterior restyling as part of its most recent redesign, along with distinctive styling cues for each trim level. Inside the cabin, one will find a newly reshaped dash and a standard 8-inch touchscreen for the XL or a 12-inch display that’s standard on higher trims, plus a customizable 12-inch digital instrument cluster. Finally, the truck’s engine lineup now consists of the new gas 6.8L V8, the 7.3L V8 Godzilla, the 6.7L V8 Power Stroke diesel, and a new high-output version of the Power Stroke that features a unique turbo, tune, and upgraded exhaust manifolds.
Even instructing it to focus on certain areas.
He said the news was a bit of a shock.
"We had nothing," said Rockenfeller.
Slightly unwelcome news for customers there.
It's one of around 5,800 built.
But don't sleep on Cindric or Briscoe.

Ford must continue the hybrid truck production across the Super Duty models. Its F-150 and Maverick hybrids are great sellers, and the Ranger hybrid began production. Ford will continue to be the best truck producer in the world!
Agreed.
We have two Lightnings on our ranch, and they exceed expectations. We certainly realize the value of a hybrid or a fully electric vehicle for our operation here. No doubt there'll be people who'll have nothing but disdain for anything other than a fully internal combustion motor, and that's fine-----for them.
We still have some modicum of freedom of choice in this great country, and at least as far as vehicle choice is concerned, everyone can be happy.
I will never buy an electric vehicle.
I will never buy a Renault, so what. I swear people think they are stars in some kind of play where anyone cares.
All people do is complain and complain so boring so tired
When is the Oakville plant coming online, 2026 or FY 2028?
buy America only
Once you drive a real truck, the Ford Super Duty, every thing else is just a 3rd class
