Hennessey Venom 800 Debuts As New Ford F-150 Raptor R Rival

In the realm of muscle trucks, the Ford F-150 Raptor R doesn’t really have any rivals – at least, not after the Ram TRX was discontinued recently, giving way to the less powerful, Hurricane I-6 powered RHO. Thus, those looking for a 700+ horsepower, supercharged V8-powered pickup have nowhere else to look – except the aftermarket, that is. There, the 2024 Shelby F-150 and Steeda F-150 Tremor are already available and pack just as much punch as the Raptor R, and now, they’ve been joined by the all-new Hennessey Venom 800, too.

The new Hennessey Venom 800 is based on the regular Ford F-150, but has received a host of upgrades that help transform it into a properly capable machine both on and off the pavement. On the outside, those upgrades include a single-piece carbon fiber Hennessey grille, front and rear steel Venom bumpers, off-road LED lighting in the front bumper, electronic fold-out running boards, illuminated Venom 800 front fender badges, and 20-inch Hennessey 10-spoke wheels wrapped with 35-inch off-road tires. Underneath, Hennessey gives the Venom a six-inch BDS lift kit with Fox coilovers, plus upgraded rear shocks and six-piston Brembo brakes. Inside the cabin, the Hennessey Venom 800 features embroidered headrests, all-weather floor mats, American flag inserts, and a serial numbered plaque.

Of course, the biggest upgrade present here lies under the hood, where the factory 5.0L V8 Coyote engine has been treated to a massive 3.0L supercharger, an upgraded air-to-water intercooler, a high-performance fuel injection system, a high-flow air induction system, a dual-tip cat-back exhaust, and Hennessey’s own engine management calibration, which lifts output all the way up to 800 horsepower and 757 pound-feet of torque – enabling the Hennessey Venom 800 to do 0-60 in 3.4 seconds and post an 11.7 second quarter-mile time.

For 2024, the Hennessey Venom 800 is being limited to just 250 units for the entire globe, with each coming with a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty. Pricing hasn’t yet been announced, but interested customers can order one exclusively via any authorized Ford dealer, or from Hennessey Performance itself.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
