With two Playoffs races in the books, it might be a good time to start looking at the overall odds for the drivers most likely to win the 2024 Cup Series title. Of the current 16 championship eligible drivers, six belong to the NASCAR Ford camp, and their odds of becoming the champion are pretty mixed.
As per the updated title odds from NASCAR.com, Harrison Burton, driver of the No. 21 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, has the worst chance to win the championship at 300-1. Chase Briscoe, driver of the No. 14 Mustang, has a marginally better shot of taking the title at 120-1 odds, but he has to avoid elimination after Bristol to make that a reality.
Austin Cindric, driver of the No. 2 Mustang, has hit a bit of a slump lately, although his odds aren’t the worst in The Blue Oval’s stable to win. He’s got a 65-1 chance of winning the overall title. Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 6 Mustang, has had a rough go of things through the first two rounds of the Playoffs, and as such, he currently has odds of 40-1 to win, but he’s also in danger of being eliminated when the Round of 16 wraps up this weekend.
Joey Logano is the next NASCAR Ford driver on the list. He’s the only Playoffs driver with a free pass to the next round, thanks to his victory at Atlanta a few weeks ago. He has a 12-1 shot of putting the No. 22 Mustang in Victory Lane.
Ryan Blaney, defending series champion, hasn’t had the best luck in the first two Playoffs races, either. He finished dead last at Watkins Glen last week, but has enough points to be comfortably ahead of the cutline. He’s favored at 13-2 odds of winning the title again in 2024, driving the No. 12 Mustang.
The Round of 16 will wrap up after the Cup Series race at Bristol on September 21st, 2024.
