In the automotive world, automakers are continuously tweaking products in an effort to make them more appealing – with many of those changes pertaining to things like technology features or mechanicals. However, styling is a bit more of a mixed bag given how incredibly subjective it can be. What looks great to one person may be horrific to another, and we’ve certainly seen that play out in the Blue Oval universe as of late with the undoubtedly controversial 2025 Ford Maverick refresh. Thus, that had us wondering – will the same fate befall the refreshed 2025 Lincoln Navigator as well?
The 2025 Lincoln Navigator was just revealed a little over a month ago, and it features quite a few updates, at least, for a typical mid-cycle refresh. On the outside, those updates include a fresh look up front with a revamped grille design and an integrated light bar showing off the Lincoln Embrace welcome sequence – which is also is true of the full-width tail lamps in the rear. There are 3D badges out back, and Lincoln Stars laser-etched into the rear panel, while the 2025 Lincoln Navigator also debuts a new split gate design and a relocated wiper blade for a cleaner appearance.
Rounding out the exterior styling updates for the 2025 Lincoln Navigator are a variety of new wheel options that include standard 22-inch units, though customers can also opt for 24-inch wheels for the first time in either high-gloss Ebony or Luster Nickel aluminum. The optional Jet Appearance Package adds unique 22-inch high-gloss Ebony Black aluminum wheels and a black grille, front bumper fascia, roof rack, badging, and belt molding.
Thus, all of this begs the question – what will consumers think of the revised 2025 Lincoln Navigator, or more specifically, the way it looks? We’re curious to hear if our readers think the refreshed SUV is an improvement in terms of styling compared to the outgoing model, which was just refreshed for the 2022 model year – so let us know by casting your vote in the poll below!

New front end looks nothing like a Lincoln and I’m not crazy about the rear end either.
HUH???
Tailgate is dumb. Android Automotive subscription infotainment is dumb. Keep Sync 4.
Questionable changes for sure, why change the beautiful grill again? Why a black Mesh, needs to be chrome, needs a lot more chrome all over to brake up the plain no lines of the sides. Maybe a Smaller Lincoln Star on the fenders.
The rear end is so blah, needs a large Lincoln Star in the middle.
Please for the love of….. get rid of those darn black rims, they look like they lost their hubcaps.
It definitely has a cleaner smoother look overall. I agree….ban all black rims!
I’m not the target audience but I suspect few are . The real target audience is in China. I’m glad they didn’t make it look too 1950’s futuristic that would be a disaster. It looks like they were thinking 1961 continental but also not thinking at the same time. The good news is, the VP of design is gone and a new one has arrived.
Why no duel exhaust ???? Come on this is a Big $$$$ car …
Completely agree. This would complete the look. I’m tired of that station wagon muffler sticking out the back.
The look is ok. But if the tech isn’t better than 2024 then a big mistake. They need to have a car that cost 100.000’s run like you paid 100,000. The more you pay the less problems you should have. My 2022 has been in service more than all my past cars put together.
Lost all the classy touches. Looks bland and no chrome. The turned down tail lights look like an old Mercury Sable, a very old one at that.
How come they stoled the 2019 GMC grill?
I really don’t understand the pro ’22 comments?! There’s a reason Lincoln inventory is piling up in lots all, i.e. more than 2x the national average. Get real!! Even incentives, rebates and discounts couldn’t offset bland styling and non-competitive prices. Maybe the page is turning with new Nautilus, Aviator and (hopefully) Navigator? Fingers X’d??
Love the look its clean and functional design. The person who thinks the grill looks like a 2019 GMC needs to see a eye doctor.
I’m in total agreement with you! Most reviewer commentors aren’t even in the market, for a full-sized land yacht, as with this Lincoln.
Is it just me, or is the rear end not Pontiac Aztec-esque?
The Pontiac Aztec is in a class, all of its own!
Lincoln navigator 2025 better looking
Okay, so my husband loves all the “blacked out” trims being offered lately. I LOATHE them. Chrome should still be available and I think these manufacturers are going to find that out the hard way. Black gets dirty faster, stays dirty, is harder to clean, shows every bug/fingerprint/light dusting, and is 4X+ cheaper to make than chrome. Stellantis is doing the whole “better for our employees health and the environment” schtick at the moment and they will FAIL too. Certain vehicles of a certain class BELONG WITH CHROME. Blacked Out trims are a TREND: nothing more. And the 24/25 model year vehicles won’t sell as much because of it.
It’s uglier than the 2024 model, will be recalled shortly after production begins and will be more expensive to repair.
It will also be way more expensive than the 2024 model resulting in fewer sales. Sales of the 2024 Navigator stand at 9,922 units for the period of 1/1/24 to 8/31/24, compared to 11,978 units for same period in 2023.
We love the new Navigator, will buy one in a few years we currently have 3 of them. This is our only choice! This is a way more than a mid cycle refresh, it sitting on a 12” longer frame with 9” more wheelbase. It’s a massive upgrade.
Glad to here, you’re a Lincoln Navigator fan! Just to let you know, both short wheelbase and long wheelbase offerings have been around for nearly 15 years. And in way, a criticism towards you…
Love the new look. Dual chrome tip exhaust would complete the look.
Black rims on a $100,000 car. Reaction: WFT! Then no chrome on a Lincoln. Ding! You are out!!!
Slight hijack I went with 24 expedition. Ok to clarify after seeing updated 25 navigatior I was clear that I wanted a 24 expedition and didn’t want to wait for 25 expedition or navigatior. Reason 1. I got huge discount on 83k limited expedition, they were giving good discount off navigator but all the wood trim looks dated compared to escalade so 24 navigitor was really not on list. Readon 2 google makes you pay to use it, sync 4 has built in maps for life and we use AA and car play anyways. Reason 3 I think the dual screen design is goofy I tried the natualis with panoramic screen. It’s a gimmick now your center screen is smaller and you a bunch of smaller screens around you. Trust me the one big 15″ screen works better in my opinion. Reason 4. Same engine and trans and body just new front clip, tailgate and expensive montly fee tech that does same thing free no subscription tech did was not worth the bump in price for 25.
