Ryan Blaney Leads NASCAR Ford Drivers In Updated Champ Odds

The Round of 12 kicks off this Sunday at Kansas Speedway, meaning the fight for the 2024 Cup Series title is heating up. As usual, Ryan Blaney still looks hot to take The Blue Oval to its third championship in a row, but where does the rest of the NASCAR Ford stable stack up?

Blaney’s odds of taking the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse to his second consecutive title are 6-1, meaning he’s not only the safest bet in the NASCAR Ford pool, but one of the safest bets in the field overall, according to the latest odds from NASCAR.com. Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Mustang, isn’t too far behind, either – he’s favored at 12-1 odds of winning it all this November.

Austin Cindric, driver of the No. 2 Mustang, is the next-best option at 65-1 odds. Chase Briscoe, meanwhile, is a little bit of a long shot with the worst odds in the field of 80-1, but considering that he narrowly escaped elimination at Bristol last weekend, anything can happen, and 2024 could be the year that the No. 14 Mustang earns the overall title.

The aforementioned NASCAR Ford drivers are the only ones still in the title fight. Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 6 Mustang, and Harrison Burton, driver of the No. 21 Mustang, were eliminated after the Round of 16 wrapped up at Bristol. They are still going to participate in the season’s final seven races, but they will not be able to fight for a championship this year.

Scoring lines in Kansas finish, May 2024

Kansas is scheduled for 3 p.m. EST on Sunday, September 9th. Things could get interesting, considering the spring race produced the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history. Unfortunately, a NASCAR Ford driver was on the wrong end of that finish – Chris Buescher’s No. 17 Mustang darted across the line abreast of Kyle Larson’s No. 5 Chevy Camaro ZL1 and finished 0.001 seconds behind. Perhaps redemption awaits Ford this coming weekend at the 1.5-mile track.
