Shelby Hall To Drive Ford Bronco Raptor At 2024 Rebelle Rally

Ford has enjoyed tremendous success at the all-female Rebelle Rally over the past few years, following the debut of the Ford Bronco and Ford Bronco Sport in 2020. In that year, all three Bronco Sport teams finished the event while Shelby Hall and her navigator, Penny Dale, won first place in the X-Cross class. That duo then moved up to the regular Bronco in 2021 and proceeded to win the 4×4 class, and The Blue Oval hasn’t looked back since. Now, the automaker has announced that Hall will be behind the wheel of the Ford Bronco Raptor for this year’s Rebelle Rally.

Hall will be joined by Rori Lewis this time around, once again tackling the eight-day, 1,500-mile Rebelle Rally, which is set to kick off on Wednesday, October 9th and end on Saturday, October 19th, spanning portions of the Nevada and California desert. Participants aren’t just tasked with beating each other via pure speed, however, as there’s a lot of brainwork involved – in fact, racers can’t use GPS or cell phones to find their way across the desert, and must instead rely on maps, compasses, and road books only.

Of course, Ford’s group of teams has a solid reputation to uphold given its success over the past few years, which resulted in a third X-Cross victory in 2022 and a fourth in 2023. Hall secured only a sixth-place finish in 2022 behind the wheel of a Bronco Wildtrak, however, but improved last year in the No. 150 Desert Roots Bronco Raptor, in which Hall and Lewis both finished inside the top-five, along with Laura Wanlass and Maria Guitar, who piloted another Bronco Raptor.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
