Supercars Ford Team DJR Signs Brodie Kostecki For 2025

Reigning Australian Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki will join The Blue Oval in 2025, signing on with Supercars Ford team Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) to drive a Ford Mustang GT next season.

Kostecki, the 2023 champion, has driven General Motors products fielded by Erebus Motorsports for most of his Supercars career. He raced a Holden ZB Commodore from 2019 through the 2022 season and took control of a Chevy Camaro ZL1 when Holden was finally killed off. After winning the 2023 title, Kostecki has raced a Camaro for Erebus on a part-time basis in 2024. He does have some history with The Blue Oval, driving a Ford FG Falcon in the 2017 Super2 Series for Matt Stone Racing.

“Brodie is one of the top drivers in the series and we’re excited to bring him on board the Shell V-Power Racing Team,” said DJR founder Dick Johnson in a statement. “He’s an impressive young man and I’ve certainly got a soft spot for anyone who has as much mechanical sympathy and understanding of the car as he does. With the combination of Will [Davison] and Brodie [Kostecki], we look forward to chasing wins and returning to the top next season!”

Kostecki will join Will Davison, two-time Bathurst 1000 champion, at DJR next year, and looks forward to joining forces with him.

“I am excited to join the Shell V-Power Racing Team, a team with such a rich history of success. This partnership represents a new chapter for me, and I look forward to working alongside Will [Davison] and the entire team,” Kostecki said.

Kostecki is replacing Anton De Pasquale, who is parting ways with DJR at the end of the 2024 racing season. Dr. Ryan Story, DJR Team Principal, explained that it was a difficult decision to let De Pasquale go, but that putting Kostecki and Davison together on the Supercars Ford team was a no-brainer.
