A true symbol of luxury, the Lincoln Town Car is no longer around – at least in terms of new examples – but older ones are quickly gaining steam on the collector car market. In fact, we’ve seen a number of nice, low-mile Town Cars surface for sale at various online auctions in recent months, many of them selling for considerable sums of money. Now, that list continues to expand with this 2008 Lincoln Town Car Signature L, which is also a truly stellar example of the large, luxurious family hauler.
This particular Lincoln Town Car is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer, and it has just 31k miles on the clock with just two previous owners to its name. The long wheelbase L model is a full six inches longer than the standard Town Car, making for an even more luxurious experience inside the cabin, but its exterior is in great shape as well. There are no flaws marring its Dark Cherry Metallic paint, and there’s lots of chrome present as well, fittingly coupled with a set of narrow-whitewall tires.
Inside the cabin, there are plenty of luxuries including a leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel, black leather heated power-adjustable front seats and heated outboard rear seats, driver seat position memory settings, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power-adjustable pedals, rear seat climate and audio controls, an in-dash CD changer, and the SoundMark audio system. Under the hood, one will find the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to send 239 horsepower and 287 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
Among the many Lincoln Town Car sedans we’ve come across at collector car auctions as of late, most of them are just like this one – in original condition and with low miles. However, we also spotted a very cool Town Car not too long ago packing a supercharged and heavily-modified V8 under its long hood, too.

One of the last true Lincolns and a true luxury vehicle from Lincoln. Nowadays, Lincoln is nothing but a vulgar joke compared to it once was or to any luxury car brand.
