There are many tuners out there offering turnkey examples of the Ford F-150 bearing plenty of upgrades, ranging from appearance items inside and out, as well as suspension kits, wheels and tires, and power boosts, among other modifications. One such model is the Ford F-150 Roush Nitemare, a pretty comprehensive package that debuted years ago, sporting a fairly hefty price tag. Now, those in the market for one of these gussied-up Ford F-150 models can bid on a slightly used example, too.
That example is this 2020 Ford F-150 Roush Nitemare, which is currently up for auction at Cars & Bids with just 27k miles on the clock. It’s being sold by the original owner, though it isn’t perfect by any means. Rather, there are a few scratches and chips marring the exterior paint, a little wear inside the cabin, and the typical corrosion these trucks tend to accumulate underneath. It also sustained “very minor” damage back in June 2020 according to its CarFax, but otherwise, it’s in pretty solid condition overall.
The Ford F-150 Roush Nitemare package added a host of upgrades to the venerable pickup, which include a custom front bumper cover, a Roush grille with signature lighting, Roush R puddle lamps, Nitemare badging, Roush and Nitemare graphics, and 22-inch satin black Roush wheels on the outside. Inside the cabin, one will find premium leather seating and a console vault, but the real magic lies under the skin.
In that regard, the F-150’s 5.0L V8 Coyote engine has been treated to a Roush Performance TVS R2650 supercharger system and an active exhaust, lifting output from the factory ratings of 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque to 650 horsepower and 610 pound-feet, which flows to all four wheels via the 10-speed automatic transmission. A lowering kit helps plant the pickup closer to the ground as well for a sportier look, making for a fun package that may very well sell for a reasonable price.

I almost bought one of these like 18 months ago for $54k.
The roush blower is poorly designed, with its heat exchanger mounted low, and too small. It leads to heat soak issues very quickly, compared to the Whipple or VMP offerings. They’ll be reliable at stock power levels, but high IATs with a pulley or similar.
The truck I was looking at had an unknown tune on it, and was pullied down. I decided that the cost to work around the Roush blower was as much as the cost of a whipplez which made paying a premium for the nitemare silly.
