With the 2024 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor being treated to a mid-cycle refresh, we’ve begun to see a number of updated tuner versions of the popular pickup surface, too. That includes the likes of Shelby American, which just debuted the new Shelby F-150 back in June, and then followed that up by teasing another addition to its lineup just yesterday. We guessed that this new model would be the 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor, given the fact that it has been absent in the lineup since the pickup’s refresh, and now, that’s precisely what has been unveiled.
This new offering consists not only of one 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor model, however, but two this time around – a regular variant and the Shelby Raptor R. These new additions carry on Shelby’s tradition of offering its own version of the Raptor since the first one arrived in 2013, and now, customers can choose between either the regular, V6-powered Raptor or the V8-powered Raptor R as their base truck of choice. Either way, both trucks feature exterior styling upgrades including off-road bumpers, LED lighting, Shelby stripes and badging, a lightweight hood with dual functional scoops, a chase rack, plus Shelby embroidery and other touches inside the cabin.
The regular 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor gets a boost for its twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine in the form of an open-air intake with a high-flow filter, a beefed-up intercooler and intake tube, plus a tune that helps lift output to 550 horsepower. As for the the Shelby Raptor R, its supercharged 5.2L V8 has been treated to a Borla exhaust, though a Shelby by Whipple supercharger is also available for an extra $9,995 and lifts output up to a whopping 900 horsepower – on 93-octane fuel, too. Underneath, the 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor gets a BDS lift kit to go along with the factory Fox live-valve shocks, plus 18-inch Shelby Raptor flow-forged wheels and 37-inch mud-terrain tires.
The 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Baja Raptor is available through select Tuscany and Ford dealers in North America, each adorned with its own unique Shelby serial number that will be documented in the official Shelby Registry. The packages come with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty that covers the powertrain, too. As for pricing, the regular Shelby Baja Raptor starts out at $51,995, while the Raptor R version is $54,995 – not including the price of the donor pickup.
