2025 Ford Bronco Ditches Four Trims, Including Black Diamond

In recent weeks, we’ve received a few tidbits of information pertaining to a variety of changes in store for the 2025 Ford Bronco lineup. This includes the addition of new colors, and the arrival of at least two new models – both of which lean heavily into the retro appeal of the rugged SUV. Now, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that the 2025 Ford Bronco is also ditching a grand total of four trim levels to make room for some new offerings.

The 2025 Ford Bronco lineup will ditch the Black Diamond, Wildtrak, Everglades, and Heritage Limited Edition trims, though in all fairness, we already knew about two of these deletions. As Ford Authority previously reported, production of the Bronco Everglades already ended this past August, while the Heritage Limited Edition was also previously slated to go away for 2025. The “limited” portion of the Ford Bronco Heritage Limited name stemmed from the fact that The Blue Oval only planned to build 1,966 units of it and the Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Limited in total – corresponding with the first year of production for the Bronco itself. However, while the 2024 Bronco Sport dropped the Heritage Limited from its lineup, Ford Bronco Heritage Limited production continued into 2024.

Regardless, the 2025 Ford Bronco lineup is gaining two new offerings – the recently-revealed Free Wheeling Package, which adds gradient stripes and other unique retro touches to the Big Bend trim – as well as the Stroppe Special Edition, which pays homage to the Baja 1000-winning Stroppe Baja Bronco of 1969 that also inspired a handful of road-going variants that were sold the general public.

Otherwise, the 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor is adding a trio of new exterior colors options – Marsh Gray, Desert Sand, and Ruby Red – though it’s currently unclear if any of the high-performance model’s existing hues will be deleted to make room for them.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. If Ford doesn’t bring the MSRPs down it won’t make ant difference

  2. They are bringing back the base model – Hopefully with the manual trans and somewhere below 30k MSRP would be nice. Not everyone needs or wants a optioned out vehicle. I had ordered the base when the order banks opened back in ’20 and I waited ed over a year for it but was never put into production. Sticker was below 29k with a plan.

  3. Hopefully Ford combines the best of the Black Diamond and adds it into the Big Bend. Being the Bronco is almost 5,000 lbs at base trim level. I am sure the Big Bend could use the 4.46 gear ratio with locking diff standard. I hope we get a pkg that can be added to the Big Bend that makes it look like the Black Diamond. adding the capable bumper, rock slides, and Black Diamond grille.
