2025 Ford Bronco Gets Standard Ambient Footwell Lighting

Following its debut for the 2021 model year, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco hasn’t yet received a mid-cycle refresh or redesign, though the rugged SUV has been treated to its fair share of updates from model year to model year. That’s also set to be the case with the 2025 Ford Bronco, as it’s received quite a few updates for the new year – some of which are minor, and others are rather significant. The latest of which pertains to ambient footwell lighting, which is now standard across the entire lineup.

Previously, ambient footwell lighting was part of the Mid Package, but now, it’s standard across the entire 2025 Ford Bronco lineup, according to Bronco Nation. For 2025, the Mid Package contains a host of items including Intelligent Access with Lock/Unlock, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Connected Navigation with a one-year subscription, dual-zone automatic climate control, front heated seats, illuminated vanity mirrors, a power outlet, rear parking sensors, remote start, Ford Co-Pilot360, auto high beams, BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert, the Lane Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, and Dynamic Brake Support.

Aside from this change, the 2025 Ford Bronco lineup has been treated to a host of other updates for the new model year, too. Those changes include a trim level lineup reshuffling that includes the deletion of the Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage Limited, and Black Diamond series, though the latter moniker is now being used as the name for a newly optional package. The Bronco Base is making a comeback after being absent for one model year, and the new Stroppe Edition is effectively taking the place of the Wildtrak, while the retro-themed Free Wheeling Package is also making its debut.

As for the rest of the lineup, the 12-inch digital gauge cluster is now included as standard equipment, the Bronco Badlands has gained the HOSS 3.0 suspension as an option, and the FITS system present in the Ford Maverick is now available, too. In four-door models equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission, the rear HVAC vents have moved from the floor to the rear portion of the center console, though much of the lineup has lost its grab handles and the entire range has ditched the wireless charging pad. Finally, the 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor is adding three new exterior color options, but is also losing a total of six.
