Back in the 1960s and 1970s, the Stroppe Baja Ford Bronco was a bit of a famous machine, largely due to the fact that it rolled out of Bill Stroppe’s shop and managed to compete in the legendary Baja 1000 and NORRA Mexican 1000 races – even scoring an outright win at the former off-road extravaganza in 1969, making it the only stock 4×4 vehicle to do so to this day. A small handful of Stroppe Broncos were sold to the public as well, but now, The Blue Oval is once again conjuring up some nostalgia with the all-new 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition is available exclusively as a two-door model and takes the place of the Wildtrak in the SUV’s lineup, though it sports styling that won’t be mistaken for anything else. On the outside, the new special edition sports a similar paint scheme to the old Stroppe Bronco that now consists of the newer Atlas Blue, Oxford White, and Code Orange, along with squared-off wheel arches, Stroppe badging, a Frozen White grille with Code Orange “Bronco” script, a matte black hood and tailgate, a steel front bumper with Code Orange tow hooks, and 17-inch beadlock capable wheels wrapped with 35-inch Goodyear Territory RT tires, plus removable side steps with integrated rock rails.
Underneath, the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition features the automaker’s HOSS 3.0 suspension system with Fox internal-bypass dampers and Stabilizer Bar Disconnect, plus the twin turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission as standard. Inside the cabin, one will find a white instrument mid-panel along with various Code Orange accents including the Bronco script on the dash, the G.O.A.T. mode dial bezel, the insides of the grab handles, and in the contrast stitching on the dash topper and seats, while the center console sports a Stroppe Special Edition badge.
The 2025 Bronco Stroppe Special Edition will be available in January 2025, and it joins a few minor updates for the rugged SUV in the latest model year – including the addition of Marsh Gray, Desert Sand, and Ruby Red exterior color options for the Bronco Raptor.
