The refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer debuted in early February for the U.S., after which deliveries of the updated model began arriving at dealers in July. However, the 2025 Ford Explorer is slated to be sold in various other global markets as well, a list that includes Mexico (in three trim levels, at least), as Ford Authority reported last month. Now, the 2025 Ford Explorer has yet another market to add to its quickly growing list – the Middle East – as the refreshed crossover just launched there, too.
In the Middle East, the 2025 Ford Explorer will be sold in three trims as well – Active, Platinum, and ST – with the first two powered by the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission. The high-performance ST is equipped with the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost powerplant, mated to the same gearbox. Otherwise, the 2025 Ford Explorer that’s now on sale in the Middle East is essentially identical to its U.S. counterpart.
That means that the Middle Eastern 2025 Ford Explorer features the same updated exterior styling coupled with a revamped interior sporting a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13.2-inch center infotainment screen, and the new Ford Digital Experience software. The updated model joins a bevy of them in that same market as well, including the 2025 Ford Taurus, which just received a new hybrid powertrain option for the new model year, as well as the refreshed 2024 Ford F-150.
“The Explorer has been a mainstay of Ford’s lineup for 34 years and we’re really excited to bring the latest edition of one of the world’s most popular SUVs to the region,” said Andrew Gregory, Brand Marketing Manager for Explorer at Ford Middle East. “With an expansive range of three distinctive, versatile trims, we have meticulously recrafted the Explorer with upgraded technologies and features that equip drivers – and passengers – for whatever adventures life brings their way.”
