Following its debut for the 2021 model year, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has received a steady dose of updates on what basically constitutes an annual basis. That includes 2024, when the EV crossover gained a new e-motor designed in house by Ford, faster charging times, more range, the Rally model, and the new Performance Upgrade for GT owners, among various other tweaks. However, The Blue Oval isn’t exactly resting on its laurels, and has added even more updates to the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E – some of which are quite significant.
For starters, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is adding a new standard heat pump, which helps optimize energy consumption – particularly in colder weather conditions – and results in less range loss in that regard. Additionally, the Premium trim is gaining the new Sport Appearance Package, which adds select Mach-E GT styling cues such as its front fascia, grille shield, and red-painted Brembo front brake calipers, plus black-painted door cladding and wheel lips, and a set of 19-inch monochromatic high-gloss black-painted wheels.
Inside the cabin, this optional package adds red accent stitching and sport pedals, while ventilated seats are now standard on all Premium models. All 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E crossovers are ditching the old center-mounted dial shifter as well, replacing it with a column shifter that frees up some console space. As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E will be the first to get the new BlueCruise 1.5 update, which is adding an Automatic Lane Change feature, though it hasn’t yet revealed a timeline for that rollout.
Additionally, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is gaining the new Ford Connectivity Package, which includes a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capable of handling up to 10 devices at distances of up to 50 feet away from the vehicle, a variety of apps via the in-vehicle screen, and maps features like EV Trip Planner, Predictive Destinations, and Route Guidance as part of Connected Navigation. When customers order their new Mach-E, they will receive a one-year complimentary trial upon activation, after which they can set up an annual plan or make a one-time purchase.
As for exterior color updates, the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is getting three new options – Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Velocity Blue Metallic, and Desert Sand – along with a Dark Carbonized Gray wheel option for the Mach-E Rally. The updated EV crossover is slated to go on sale in early 2025, with a base price of $36,495 – cheaper than the current starting MSRP of $39,995 for the entry-level Select trim.

I expected a new dash design that integrates the vertical display much better.
When will they change the location of the charging port to better align with the Tesla super charging stations? When will the EVs get the NACS ports? They were supposed to come in the 2025 models.
They still aren’t doing things to make owning an EV better and easier for consumers.
