2025 Ford Ranger Adds New Marsh Gray Color: First Look

The 2025 Ford Ranger gets an updated exterior color lineup, gaining three new colors known as Marsh Gray, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Desert Sand. Here’s everything you need to know about Marsh Gray.

Marsh Gray is tagged with paint code T9. It’s offered on all four 2025 Ford Ranger trims, including XL, XLT, Lariat, and Raptor trims – the latter of which gained the color after fans of the range-topping pickup begged The Blue Oval to add it. Thankfully, it doesn’t cost extra on any trim level, and it’s one of seven exterior colors available for the pickup. It can be added in conjunction with both interior colorways.

All 2025 Ford Ranger exterior color options are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat (G4)
  • Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7)
  • Oxford White (YZ)
  • Shadow Black (G1)
  • Shelter Green Metallic (DB)
  • Velocity Blue Metallic (E7)
  • Ruby Red Tinted Clearcoat (RR)
  • Desert Sand (VA)
  • Marsh Gray (T9)

Meanwhile, the interior colorway options are as follows:

  • Ebony
  • Sandstone

Finally, the following list represents all available 2025 Ranger trim levels:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat
  • Raptor

While it gained three new colors, the 2025 Ranger leaves three colors behind: Cactus Gray, Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Iconic Silver Metallic.

The 2025 Ford Ranger carries on largely unchanged from the 2024 model. That’s no surprise, considering that the pickup went under the proverbial knife for the 2024 model year, which represented a complete generational shift for the Ranger. It debuted in May 2023 to the tune of completely revised styling both inside and out, an improved suspension, and more goodies.

As is typical of model year changeovers, the 2025 Ranger is a bit more expensive than its 2024 counterpart, as previously reported by Ford Authority. The base XL trim starts at $32,890, not including destination freight charges, while on the opposite end of the spectrum, the Raptor trim is much pricier at $55,720. Additionally, it gets a revised keyless entry keypad and a substantially altered chrome package.

  1. Great. ANOTHER gray. I was sitting in a parking lot for a few minutes this AM, awaiting a Dr appt and I surveyed the vehicles in it (large lot). 95% were white, gray, silver or black and the one that really stood out was a screaming-blue RAV4. I’m all for broadening the palette, but what ugly alternatives they’re sending out. The RAV4 was ATROCIOUS.

  2. Can someone please explain the appeal of 4 door achromatic short bed trucks? I certainly don’t get it and will never own one, but everyone else seems into them.

  4. Interesting colour. We will be trading in our current PX2 Ranger next year for the New modrl and might have a look although just about everything looks different in real life as opposed to pics. By the way the Ranger is an absolute gun for towing and our van is just over the 3T.
