As is the case with the rest of its EV lineup, The Blue Oval continues to tweak the Ford E-Transit with each passing model year, rather than treat it to any sort of mid-cycle refresh or redesign. These continuous improvements resulted in a larger battery, better range, and faster charging speeds for the 2024 model year, but FoMoCo isn’t exactly resting on its laurels now that we’re ready to move into yet another new model year, which is also the case with its ICE-powered counterpart, the Transit. Rather, the 2025 Ford Transit and E-Transit have been updated in a number of notable ways, and treated to a host of new packages and kits.
The 2025 Ford Transit and E-Transit are being treated to some factory-integrated vocational upfit packages, as well as new interior accessory kits for the new year, in fact. In terms of factory-installed trade packages and options, there are four to choose from, all featuring components from Ranger Design and designed specifically for different industries. These packages include one for electricians that adds drawers and bins to store parts and reels to hang bundles of wiring for an extra $4,370, as well as an HVAC package with large shelves, storage bins, refrigerant storage racks, and restraints, which starts out at $4,440.
A general contractor package contains a mixture of shelves, bins, drawers and hooks for an extra $2,900, while a foldable shelving package adds deep, large-capacity folding shelves for delivery purposes at an MSRP of $3,300. In each case, the shelves, drawers, and work surfaces are specially tailored for each trade, and each can be financed along with the vehicle as well. On top of that, since they’re factory-installed, these kits are covered by the vehicle’s three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.
Additionally, 2025 Ford Transit and E-Transit customers can also spec two new options, starting with a wall liner kit that includes lighting and wheel well covers to help aid in the installation of upfitting equipment. The other option is a large grab handles kit that enables easier accessibility into the van. Smart Acceleration Truncation is now offered as a standalone option for fleet customers, which can help improve driver behavior by limiting acceleration based on auto-calculation of payload, enabling a smooth start after every stop. For 50/50 Hinged Rear Door models, 180-degree opening is standard on all low/medium- roof cargo vans and all passenger vans, and 253-degree opening is standard on all high-roof cargo vans and is also optional on all low/medium-roof variants. Finally, the 2025 Ford E-Transit cargo van now offers the Mobile Power Cord as an option, which comes with a fast charging adapter.
