The Ford Authority Take
Ford Brazil sales grew spectacularly in September, and the streak continues to reinforce the automaker’s strong showing in the country, where it has accumulated six consecutive months of increases. Interestingly, the 83 percent increase rate was practically equal to that recorded in August, when Ford set its highest sales record in its role as a full importer with 4,575 deliveries.
Ford Brazil’s strong September result was driven by massive increases across most of the brand’s models in the country, led by the best-selling Ford Ranger. The midsize pickup continues to resonate with Brazilian customers, and reinforces its position as the second best-selling truck in its category in the country, surpassing the Chevy S10 both for the month and in the year-to-date total.
Additionally, four other models registered large triple-digit increases last month and combined managed to add almost 1,000 units to the automaker’s overall volume. Among them, the Ford Maverick stands out with the highest and most significant increase for the Blue Oval brand. Meanwhile, the Ford Territory continues to establish itself as the second most popular Ford nameplate in Brazil.
