Ford E-Tourneo Courier European Launch Timeline Revealed

The Blue Oval has been busy revamping its entire van lineup in Europe over the past few years, launching a host of brand new products along the way. That includes the Ford E-Tourneo Courier, which was teased on multiple occasions before making its official debut way back in May 2023. However, at that time, FoMoCo only stated that the all-electric van was slated to launch in the second-half of 2024. Now, it has provided more details on when we can expect to see the Ford E-Tourneo Courier on European roads.

The Blue Oval has announced that European customers will be able to order the new Ford E-Tourneo Courier from their local dealership “shortly,” and added that initial deliveries of the new van are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is quite similar to the E-Transit Courier, as one might expect, but is more focused on carrying passengers rather than cargo. On the outside, it features the same SUV-like design with short overhangs and signature design elements like a coast-to-coast light bar and a chrome diamond grille.

The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is designed to carry up to five people and offers up 44 percent more rear cargo space than its predecessor, along with additional shoulder and headroom as well. Like the E-Transit Courier, the passenger-focused van is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, and over-the-air update capability.

Power for the Ford E-Tourneo Courier comes from a single electric motor that generates 100 kW (134 horsepower) and 290 Nm (214 pound-feet) of torque, and it can be charged using either 11 kW AC or 100 kW DC power. According to Ford, using slower AC charging takes the van’s 43 kWh (useable) battery pack from 10-100 percent in less than 5.5 hours, while faster DC charging can add 100 kilometers (62 miles) of range in 10 minutes and completely charge the battery from 10-80 percent in around 23 minutes. Range comes in at 288 kilometers (179 miles) on the European WLTP cycle, with a max towing capacity of 750 kilograms (1,653 pounds).

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
