Ford Motor Company sales increased one percent to 504,039 units during third quarter of 2024 in the United States. Sales decreased at Ford and increased at Lincoln.
“Different lifestyles and use cases require unique types of power,” said President of Ford Blue and Ford Customer Service Division, Andrew Frick. “We’ve listened to customers to offer them vehicles with powertrains to meet their specific needs, and their response validates our product strategy,” he added.
FoMoCo Sales Notes – U.S. Q3 2024
- Total Ford Motor Company sales during third quarter of 2024 increased 0.7 percent to 536,050 units
- Truck sales increased 6.0 percent to 292,010 units
- SUV sales decreased 5.6 percent to 202,988 units
- Car sales decreased 8.2 percent to 9,041 units
- Electric Vehicles sales totaled 23,509 units, up 12.2 percent year to year
- Hybrid Vehicles sales totaled 48,101 units, up 38.0 percent year to year
- Internal Combustion sales totaled 432,429 units, down 2.8 percent year to year
- Ford was America’s best-selling brand in Q3
- Iis also No. 1 in trucks (F-Series), hybrid trucks (F-150 Hybrid), vans (Transit), three-row SUVs (Explorer) and sports cars (Mustang)
- Ford is America’s No. 1 truck seller, led by best-selling F-Series and strong gains for Maverick
- Ford is the No. 2 electric vehicle brand in the U.S. with sales up 12 percent in Q3
- Ford commanded highest transaction prices of all non-luxury electric vehicle brands
- Ford is No. 1 in hybrid trucks with a 77 percent segment share; total hybrid sales up 38 percent
- F-150 hybrid sales rose 64 percent in the third quarter to 20,129, making it the best-selling hybrid truck
- The F-150 hybrid topped another Ford model, the Maverick, which saw sales rise 22 percent to 16,561

Ford sales decreased 0.4 percent to 478,326 units:
- Ford Bronco sales decreased 18.52 percent to 26,796 units
- Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 4.13 percent to 34,603 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 16.42 percent to 9,179 units
- Ford E-Transit sales increased 12.92 percent to 2,955 units
- Ford Edge sales decreased 59.81 percent to 9,733 units
- Ford Escape sales decreased 7.31 percent to 35,938 units
- Ford Expedition sales decreased 13.15 percent to 14,817 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 24.58 percent to 41,996 units
- Ford F-150 Lightning sales increased 104.45 percent to 7,162 units
- Ford F-Series sales increased 2.3 percent to 191,267 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales increased 4.36 percent to 3,544 units
- Ford Maverick sales increased 33.23 percent to 31,883 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 8.16 percent to 9,041 units
- Ford Mustang Mach-E sales decreased 9.77 percent to 13,392 units
- Ford Ranger sales increased 109.94 percent to 15,504 units
- Ford Transit sales decreased 7.09 percent to 29,162 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 74.82 percent to 1,354 units
Lincoln sales increased 26.1 percent to 25,713 units:
- Lincoln Aviator sales increased 278.88 percent to 5,543 units
- Lincoln Corsair sales decreased 12.29 percent to 6,887 units
- Lincoln Nautilus sales increased 34.52 percent to 8,799 units
- Lincoln Navigator sales decreased 0.95 percent to 4,484 units
During the first nine months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Motor Company sales increased 2.7 percent to 1,548,172 units.

One percent is minor. Everyone that reports monthly had a bad September. That was impacted by Labor Day weekend sales being counted in August (why?), but October and November results will be telling.
Big picture…through 3 quarters total Ford/Lincoln sold 40,000 more units than last. Heck with the percentages, that’s pretty good.
