Ford Mustang Carbon Fiber Track Pack Display Wheels For Sale

As Ford Authority recently reported, The Blue Oval has launched what it calls the “Rare Parts” collection, which contains a host of interesting items pertaining to the Ford Mustang. Along with a unique vintage watch that belonged to a notable designer, this collection has also offered fans the chance to purchase one of three 2024 Ford Mustang giclee prints, and now, pony car fanatics can also buy one of two S550 generation Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack wheels, too.

These wheels are for display purposes only, however, as the automaker notes that neither is “safe for and should never be used with any motor vehicle.” Regardless, these wheels are the same ones that were present on 2020-2022 Shelby GT500 models equipped with the optional Carbon Fiber Track Pack and were designed by Carbon Evolution. Each wheel is made with 200 individual strands of carbon fiber, microscopic glass beads, and high-density foam, and in this case, came off cars used by the Ford Media Fleet that were driven by journalists – as well as on the GT500 Track Tour.

Currently, one can purchase either Ford Mustang wheel for $1,000, with or without a valve stem, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to Breakthrough T1D. Ford and Breakthrough T1D have partnered for over 25 years, raising over 80 million dollars for type 1 diabetes. Since 1998, Ford Motor Company has supported Breakthrough T1D in its goal of eliminating that particular condition completely.

These wheels join a couple other special items, including the gold tone, classic-style Citizen watch with a black lizard strap that belonged to Gale Halderman, who drew the rough sketch that would eventually become the original Mustang and spent his entire 40-year career at the automaker. Additionally, a grand total of three copies of a 2024 Ford Mustang giclee print were also offered for sale as part of the Rare Parts collection recently.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
