It’s pretty apparent at this point in time that technology like artificial intelligence is the future, and we’re already beginning to see it used in a variety of ways – whether that be for recreational purposes or completing actual functional tasks. Automakers are also leaning heavily into a more automated future, and that includes Ford. The Blue Oval is already using AI to catch defects early in the manufacturing process at the Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center, as well as in its self-driving tech spinoff Latitude AI. Now, Ford of Mexico is on the hunt for workers that are skilled in that particular area, as well as various others.
Ford of Mexico has announced that it’s adding a number of positions to its Global Data, Insight & Analytics department that it needs to fill with experts in areas such as software, data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. This move comes as the sheer amount of data that’s being processed across all industries has multiplied many times over in the past few years, and in the automotive realm, it’s used for everything from sending data from a vehicle to the FordPass app to semi-autonomous functions and other applications.
“We are excited to offer a wide range of professional opportunities in the field of technology,” said Eric Roell, director of Ford Business Solutions in Mexico. “We are very excited to announce that we are expanding our global functions. This time, we introduced new positions in the area of Global Data, Insight & Analytics, both for the development of product innovations, as well as to improve internal processes and improve operational and strategic efficiency. We continue to look for professionals who contribute their talent and experience in software engineering, cloud, data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence and be part of the technological revolution in the automotive industry.”
Ford of Mexico has long served as an engineering hub for The Blue Oval’s global operations, a movement that accelerated with the opening of the new Global Center for Technology and Business (GTBC) a little over two years ago, which currently houses thousands of employees.
