Ford Puma Rally1 RC Car And Sock Bundle Revealed

Early last year, the M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 took on the Rallye Monte Carlo in the 2023 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The Blue Oval left the challenging rally course satisfied with its performance after pulling off a fifth-place overall result with four Power Stage points to its name. Now, rally fans and remote control car enthusiasts alike can recreate the Rallye Monte Carlo with a Puma Rally1 RC car of their own – and celebrate their victories with a matching pair of branded socks.

Available from Scaletrix, the Ford Puma Rally1 RC toy is modeled after the exact race car that Ott Tänak and Martin Järveoja wheeled to a fifth-place finish. It features the appropriate Red Bull decals, along with prominent Blue Oval badging on the hood and white Ford script splashed across the grille. It also features all contingency sponsor decals and the names of its driver and navigator on the rearmost side windows.

The matching socks feature No. 8 graphics, just like the race car, along with Tänak’s name, WRC, Ford, and M-Sport script. The socks are made via a partnership with Heel Tread and are sure to make a fun addition to any rally fan’s wardrobe.

“Conquer the rally stages with the Ford Puma Rally1 driven by Tänak/Järveoja at the Monte Carlo Rally in 2023,” the product description reads. “This high-performance Scalextric car combines rally-bred agility with cutting-edge technology, delivering adrenaline-fueled excitement with every twist and turn. We’ve combined this turbocharged car with a pair of Tänak M-Sport Socks from our partner Heel Tread. Show your love of racing on and off the track!”

The Puma Rally1 race car and sock bundle is now available for £56.99, or $74.47 USD.

Despite its size, the Ford Puma Rally1 RC car is a quick little machine. In fact, Ford put an RC version of the roadgoing Ford Puma against a full-size Puma. While the big car won the race, the margin of victory wasn’t as large as one might think – it beat the RC version of itself by less than half a second.
