Ford Super Duty Fails To Brake For Stopped Traffic: Video

In recent years, distracted driving has become more and more common – and it’s leading to more and more easily preventable accidents. In the old days, we didn’t have big screens or smart devices to stare at while driving, but in modern times, there are countless ways we can be distracted – whether that be via an electronic device or just the never-ending to-do list in the back of our minds. Problem is, this phenomenon is causing plenty of wrecks out there, and the latest involved a Ford Super Duty towing a trailer down the highway.

A Ford Super Duty towing a trailer runs into two cars in front of it.

In this video recently posted to Reddit, we get a front seat view of this wild accident via the car traveling in the center lane. The driver of the camera car clearly sees that traffic is stopped ahead, and also caught a glimpse of the speeding Ford Super Duty behind them, which prompted them to slow down a bit early. Unfortunately, the Ford Super Duty driver clearly isn’t paying attention, and continues barreling toward that stopped traffic until it’s too late.

The Super Duty driver seems to only notice what’s happening when they get very close to the car that’s stopped in the fast lane ahead of them, but there’s simply nowhere to go at that point. The driver tries to veer left to avoid a collision, but the concrete median in the center lane prevents that from happening, and the truck winds up hitting both it and the car in front of it – not to mention another truck.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Ford Super Duty pulling something that wound up in a completely preventable accident as a result of driver negligence, either. Recently, we saw another Super Duty fishtail on the highway while towing a trailer, and in an even more stunning scene, the driver of a big pickup towing a camper kept plowing through a drive-thru even as their cargo was falling apart.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. He should have his license suspended for 2 years. If injuries, 5 years! Absolutely NO excuse for him not paying attention.
