Frankie Muniz Buys A Ford Expedition Timberline

Frankie Muniz rose to fame as the main character in the TV show Malcom in the Middle, but in more recent years, he’s become more interested in racing cars than acting. In fact, Muniz joined the NASCAR circuit in February 2023 behind the wheel of a Blue Oval racer in the ARCA Series at Daytona, and since then, he’s competed in the Xfinity Series with Ford Performance and has experience in the ChampCar Atlantic Championship, too. Most recently, Muniz drove a Dark Horse R in the Mustang Challenge at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), but now, he’s got a new ride in his garage – a Ford Expedition Timberline.

Muniz recently posted a photo of himself with his new Ford Expedition Timberline on Threads, showing off his latest ride – which in this case is designed more for off-road prowess than on-road speed. “I’ve had my fair share of cars, but there’s not much better than driving off the lot in a brand new car,” Muniz wrote. “Can’t thank Ford Performance
enough for my new Ford Expedition Timberline in my favorite car color ever made. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Also, shout out to San Tan Ford for the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced at a dealership!”

The Ford Expedition Timberline debuted for the 2022 model year as part of the big SUV’s previous refresh, but is now set to be replaced by the all-new 2025 Expedition Tremor, though the two models share quite a bit in common in terms of equipment. Regardless, Muniz certainly isn’t the first celebrity we’ve seen behind the wheel of a Blue Oval product, as actress Sydney Sweeney owns a few herself, which is also true of former wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has had quite a few Ford models in his garage over the years.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Sounds more like Frankie negotiated a new Expedition as part of his services contract with Ford Performance. Good for him, but not the same as stroking your own check for 80 grand to put one of these in your garage.
