Lawless Alan Gets First Top Five In NASCAR Ford Truck At ‘Dega

Lawless Alan, driver of the No. 33 NASCAR Ford F-150, pulled of the best finish of his career at Talladega Superspeedway on October 4^th, 2024, and he led The Blue Oval’s efforts at the fastest track on the schedule while he was at it.

Alan finished fifth at Talladega after making a daring late-race move. He got within inches of the lead, but unfortunately, the pack split him on either side and sent him plummeting in the middle lane. However, even as the pack unraveled into chaos in a dramatic last-lap wreck, Alan managed to get out unscathed and streaked across the line in fifth place.

The next-best NASCAR Ford driver was Ty Majeski, whose No. 98 F-150 race truck finished 12^th. Jason White’s No. 22 F-150 was the only other Blue Oval racer to finish inside the top 20.

“We had a fast truck and made a bad decision,” Majeski said. “I hopped out of line and cost ourselves some Stage 2 points, so I don’t know where that puts us in the points, but I guess it could have been worse if we finished 12^th. We’ll move on to Homestead.”

Ben Rhodes retired after just 38 laps when his No. 99 F-150 suffered irreparable damage after a run-in with the No. 77 Chevy Silverado RST of Chase Purdy. He is credited with a 35^th-place finish.

Grant Enfinger, driver of the No. 9 Silverado, defended the lead against the pack on the last lap, winning the race and securing his automatic pass into the Championship 4.
