The Charlotte Roval – or “road course oval” – takes drivers around Charlotte Motor Speedway using portions of the oval track joined with a twisting infield road course. The race, which is scheduled for October 13th, 2024, will conclude the Round of 12, and a new configuration means that it will be more challenging than it has been in the past. With that in mind, let’s take a look at where the NASCAR Ford drivers stack up in betting odds for the Roval race.
According to the latest betting report from NASCAR.com, Harrison Burton is the longest shot in the NASCAR Ford stable, with 400-1 odds of bringing the No. 21 Ford Mustang Dark Horse to Victory Lane on the hybrid track. Kaz Grala, who drives the No. 15 Mustang, has 250-1 odds, right on par with No. 14 Mustang driver Ryan Preece. Corey LaJoie is also a longshot, favored at 150-1 odds of bring his No. 51 Mustang across the line first.
Brad Keselowski has struggled on road courses as of late, and thus, his odds of 100-1 of winning on the Roval make him a longshot this weekend. Josh Berry also has 100-1 odds of winning this weekend in the No. 4 Mustang, as does Noah Gragson, who drives the No. 10 Mustang.
Todd Gilliland, driver of the No. 38 NASCAR Ford, has 70-1 odds of winning this weekend’s race. It’s quite a jump to Chase Briscoe, driver of the No. 14 Mustang, who has odds of 45-1. Ryan Blaney’s No. 12 Mustang also has 45-1 odds to win, but it’s worth noting that Blaney won the inaugural race on the Roval in 2018, so he could turn things around.
Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Mustang, has 40-1 odds of winning on the Charlotte hybrid course. Austin Cindric has slightly better odds of 35-1 to visit Victory Lane in the No. 2 Mustang. The best bets in the NASCAR Ford field are Michael McDowell, who has a 16-1 chance of bringing the No. 34 Mustang to Victory Lane, while Chris Buescher’s No. 17 Mustang has 12-1 odds of victory this weekend.
