Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano are the sole NASCAR Ford drivers carrying The Blue Oval’s banner in the 2024 Playoffs after the others were eliminated. Both of them are good picks for the title fight, so don’t overlook them when placing bets on the 2024 champion.
According to the latest betting odds from NASCAR.com, Blaney is the longest shot of the two NASCAR Ford drivers up for the championship, but even he isn’t a bad pick. His current odds of winning are 28-1. That’s a bit of a dive compared to his opening odds of 15-1, but if he clears the Round of 8 and makes the Championship 4, he could easily bring the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse to a second consecutive championship.
Blaney put up a hell of a fight to secure his slot in the Championship 4 at Homestead on October 27th. In fact, he was leading on the last lap before Tyler Reddick made a pass on the high side in the No. 45 Toyota TRD Camry to win. Blaney had to settle for second place and finds himself 38 points below the Playoffs cutline. That means if he doesn’t do well at Martinsville this weekend, he’s likely to be eliminated.
Logano, on the other hand, is the only NASCAR Ford driver with a guaranteed spot in the Championship 4, having won the Round of 8 opener at Las Vegas. His odds of winning the title are quite a bit better than Blaney’s at 3-1, compared to his 12-1 opening odds. That means putting money on the No. 22 Mustang to win a third title is an excellent decision.
Logano won the Playoffs in 2022 and 2018, and if he wins this year, it will mark the third consecutive championship for NASCAR Ford outfit Team Penske.
It’s worth noting that two other drivers have odds right on par with Logano. Christopher Bell, who drives the No. 20 Camry, and Reddick, both have 3-1 odds of winning the championship in a few weeks’ time.
