Early sixth-generation Ford Bronco customers were facing big enough problems taking delivery of the SUV amid high demand and short supply, but they also had to deal with another issue – back then, the molded-in color (MIC) hard top was also proving difficult to procure. That problem has largely been rectified now, as MIC tops are finally available to purchase, which is also the case with the long-promised black-painted hard top and even a body-color painted piece. Of course, there are plenty of other options in the aftermarket, and that now includes a pretty cool Bimini top from a company called JTopsUSA.
These new tops are designed to provide some shade from the sun, but in this case, they’re also available in any flag design from every U.S. state, for both two- and four-door models. The flags are printed are printed on either white or black mesh, depending on which matches the best, and can also be spec’d for Broncos that originally came with either a soft or hard top, plus the Raptor. This way, the factory top can simply be installed over the Bimini top, which is quite convenient, we’d say.
According to JTopsUSA, these pieces provide 80-90 percent UV protection, and they’re made in the U.S., to boot. The tops sit on top of the roll cage and are designed not to flap around in the wind, thanks to a heavy duty hook/loop and webbing system, which also eliminates gaps and keeps the top perfectly stretched out and looking good, even at highway speeds, apparently.
No matter which state flag one chooses, each of these Ford Bronco Bimini tops retails for $349, though that pricing does vary based on which version one buys. For example, the two door top costs a bit less at $339, the four-door piece for hardtop models retails for $369, the dual-top version for $379, and the Raptor piece for $389. All versions of the Bimini top can be found and purchased by heading over here.
