Saleen is a name most commonly associated with the Ford Mustang, but in reality, the tuner has churned out performance parts and turnkey upgraded versions for/of several Blue Oval models over the years. That includes the Ford Focus Saleen N2O, which is a rare, rather unique version of that hatchback, complete with a variety of exterior styling updates and even some functional performance upgrades. We don’t see too many Ford Focus Saleen N2O models surface for sale these days, but now, there’s one up for grabs.
This 2005 Ford Focus Saleen N2O is currently being auctioned off at Cars & Bids with just over 88k miles on the clock, though it appears to be in good condition, even if it was involved in a minor accident a few years ago in which the airbags didn’t deploy. Regardless, it’s one of what is believed to be only 75 Saleen N2O Focus models built for the 2005 model year, and it sports a Saleen body kit, graphics, and 17-inch TSW Revo wheels on the exterior.
Inside the cabin, one will find Saleen embroidery on the headrests and an ID plate, but the real news stems from the car’s performance upgrades. The chief one in that department is a 75 horsepower wet nitrous system (though this one needs to be filled), along with a Saleen ECU tune, performance exhaust, cold-air intake, and front strut tower bar. As a result, the Ford Focus Saleen N2O churned out a bit more power than stock – 152 horsepower without the nitrous boost, and 227 ponies with it, which flows to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
This is just the third Ford Focus Saleen N2O model we’ve seen surface for sale over the past couple of years, however. Back in 2022, a 2004 model with 24k miles went up for auction as well, and last year, it was followed by another 2004 example with 61k miles.
