Tastefully Modified 2016 Ford Focus ST Up For Auction

The Ford Focus ST – and the regular model that it’s based on – may not be much longer for this world, as the Focus is set to be discontinued when production ends next year, though it has been absent from the U.S. for a while now. However, interest in the Ford Focus ST, specifically, remains high, and for good reason – it’s a fantastic driver’s car that has plenty to offer in terms of smiles per dollar. Now, we’ve come across another nice Ford Focus ST that’s up for grabs, but this one isn’t bone stock by any means.

A 2016 Ford Focus ST that's been modified.

Rather, this Kona Blue Metallic 2016 Ford Focus ST – which is up for auction at Bring a Trailer and is owned by a former Ford engineer – has been treated to a bevy of modifications. On the outside, those include Phillips HID headlight bulbs, Diode Dynamics LED fog lights, auxiliary bulbs, tinted windows, 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with McGard one-piece lug nuts, PowerStop brake pads and rotors, and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tires, while the factory active grille shutters have been removed, too.

The interior is largely stock, and only features a few minor changes such as Husky rubber floor mats, an aftermarket phone mount, and Diode Dynamics LED bulbs. However, that isn’t the case with the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which features a host of parts from Mountune including an ECU calibration, intercooler and charge pipes, an induction kit, three-inch downpipes, a 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust, a turbo air recirculation valve, oil breather plate, and other bits and pieces, coupled with various other upgrades from other companies.

This very cool Ford Focus ST is just the latest of many that we’ve come across, of course, including a pair of other low-mile 2016 models – one with 30k miles and another with 33k miles – though both of those examples were finished in the same exterior color – Tangerine Scream Metallic.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
