The now-discontinued Ford Excursion seems to have only grown more popular since the last example rolled off the assembly line in 2005. The heavy duty vehicle is the SUV version of the Ford Super Duty, making it highly sought-after by truck and large SUV enthusiasts alike. Several pre-owned examples in remarkable condition have sold for a pretty penny this year, such as a 2004 Excursion Eddie Bauer that hammered at $30,000, while a relatively high-mileage example recently sold for $17,000. There’s another up for grabs: a 2000 Ford Excursion Limited fitted with a Power Stroke turbodiesel.
Offered up on Bring a Trailer, this 2000 Ford Excursion Limited features numerous aesthetic and mechanical upgrades on top of is already imposing expression. It’s finished in Dark Satin Green Metallic over a brown and tan leather interior. Its previous owner fitted the large SUV with a third-gen F-250 front clip, and it also sports running boards, mudflaps, rear parking sensors, a split tailgate, and a receiver hitch.
Aftermarket 20-inch Rough Country 94 Series wheels wrapped in grippy 35×12.5-inch Venom Power Terra Hunter R/T+ tires provide traction. A four-inch suspension lift has been applied, while a Bilstein steering stabilizer and shock absorbers were installed in 2024, as was a Blue Top steering gear and a Hellwig sway bar.
Inside, this 2000 Ford Excursion sports leather seating surfaces that were recently reupholstered in brown leather with tan inserts. The driver’s seat is power-adjustable, while it also boasts creature comforts like heated front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and a CD/cassette stereo.
