John Ross, the man behind the YouTube channel WatchJRGo, spends quite a bit of time trying to rescue vehicles from the scrapheap, including some Ford models. He got a 2007 Ford Focus back on the road for just $300, although he was a little overzealous when it came to repairing a 2015 Focus and swapped its clutches, though it didn’t actually end up needing that particular surgery. This time, Ross’s neighbor approaches him with a myriad of issues afflicting her 2004 Lincoln LS, and he takes it upon himself to keep it out of the junkyard.
Riley, who owns the LS, brought it to Ross because he owned a Jaguar Type S, which shares a platform with the Lincoln LS. The vehicle was completely dead when Riley attempted to start it, and when the battery died, it cleared all the codes. He suspects that there’s a MAF issue or other problem affecting the airflow, so he clears the codes again and pops the hood.
Right away, he recognizes a problem: the poor 2004 Lincoln LS has a completely mismatched set of coils. He decides to replace them all to ensure they’re from the same manufacturer, and gives it a full treatment of BG products to get it back up to speed. After a quick trip to the parts store for some oil, coils, and other goodies, they head back to the shop.
“One thing I know about Ford engines, it’s that for some reason, they have a DNA sequence that wants them to have Motorcraft spark plugs,” Ross comments.
When they remove the spark plugs, they find water in the spark plug wells, which could be causing some of the vehicle’s misfires. They blow the water out with an air compressor, replace the spark plugs and coils, and fire it up.
Thankfully, the 2004 Lincoln LS seems to be happy with its new equipment. It runs perfectly and all the warning lights on the dash are gone. All the vehicle needs is a good detailing and it’ll be as good as new.

What was the cause of water being on the spark plugs? There was no answer or explanation for that meaning it will come back. Probably has a cracked cylinder(S) or blown head gasket.
