In recent years, the now-defunct Ford Fiesta ST has become a red-hot collector’s item, and we’ve seen our fair share of supremely nice, low-mile examples surface for sale as a result, raking in impressive sums of money in many cases. However, we’ve also been treated to our fair share of uniquely modified Ford Fiesta ST models as well, with upgrades ranging from what one might call downright strange to former SEMA stars and racers. Now, that list expands yet again with this very cool 2014 Ford Fiesta ST sporting a host of rally-focused modifications.
This rally-inspired 2014 Ford Fiesta ST is currently up for auction at Cars & Bids, and while it isn’t a full-blow race car, it has been modified in a manner that sure makes it look like one. On the outside, those modifications include a set of 18-inch wheels, an M-Sport R5 carbon fiber and kevlar body kit, and a roof-mounted scoop, along with a WRC-inspired livery and decals. Inside the cabin, one will find an OMP carbon fiber steering wheel, an NRG Innovations quick-release steering wheel hub, an aftermarket shift nob, and a wide-angle rear-view mirror.
Mechanically speaking, this Ford Fiesta ST rides on a set of H&R coilovers, and its turbocharged 1.6L I-4 EcoBoost engine features an array of upgrades including a tune and cold-air intake from Mountune plus a WRC catalytic convertor, which should give it a bit of a boost over the stock output ratings of 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque. That flows to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential.
In addition to this rally-inspired Ford Fiesta ST, we’ve seen some other cool examples of that sporty model surface for sale in recent months. That list includes another 2014 model modified by Cobb Tuning and the Pat Tillman Foundation as a tribute to U.S. military members, after which it debuted at the SEMA Show, as well as a bizarre 2011 Fiesta that was chopped and transformed into a tiny version of its former self.
