The 2025 Lincoln Aviator was treated to a significant midcycle refresh, debuting in February 2024 to the tune of welcome exterior and interior styling updates, along with an all-new Ford Digital Experience infotainment system and other tech goodies. But what, exactly, sets the refreshed 2025 Aviator apart from the 2024 model it replaced? Ford Authority stacks the two models side-by-side and takes a close look at each one, comparing their aesthetic differences.
The easiest way to tell the two models apart is to take a look at their front ends. The refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator sports a revamped front fascia with redesigned headlights. While the pre-refresh model features two-tiered lights with a separate horizontal lighting signature embedded in the front fascia below the headlights themselves. The 2025 Aviator features a similar horizontal signature, but it’s integrated into the headlight assembly and extends into the grille, leading the eye toward the Lincoln star at the center.
Speaking of the grille, it gets a different treatment for 2025 as well. The pre-refresh Aviator features a grille with a stylistic notch along the lowermost side, but the 2025 model does away with this design in favor of a cleaner, more rectangular-shaped grille. The lower fascias are also different; the refreshed model features a more angular set of lower intakes covered in mesh, deviating from the straight, horizontal intakes found on the pre-refresh model.
The side profiles of the two luxury crossovers are nearly identical, as are the rear ends, which both feature a coast-to-coast lightbar spanning the width of the liftgate. They both also feature angled rear taillamps that point toward the sides and a prominent trim piece connecting the lower reflectors on either side.
As of August 2024, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator is headed to dealers, putting the luxury crossover one step closer to the hands of its buyers after beginning production at the Chicago Assembly plant in May. Unsurprisingly, all of its updates make it quite a bit pricier than the outgoing model – the base 2025 Aviator Premiere starts at $58,495 not including destination freight charges, up over $5,000 compared to the 2024 Aviator Premiere.
