It’s no secret that black appearance packages are all the rage these days, which is precisely why we’re seeing more and more of them coming from automakers like Ford. The Blue Oval has added a number of black appearance packages to its new vehicle lineup over the past couple of years, in fact, though the Ford Bronco was previously excluded from that hot trend. Now, that’s no longer the case, as the 2025 Ford Bronco Black Appearance Package has made its official and long-awaited debut.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Black Appearance Package adds, as one would expect, a number of darkened elements to the rugged SUV as part of its latest model year update. Those consist of a Shadow Black-painted hard top, along with black molded-in color mirror caps, fender flares, door handles, front grille (with white Bronco lettering), and a black graphics package. Additionally, 2025 Ford Bronco models that are equipped with the Sasquatch Package and the Black Appearance Package also get gloss black-painted aluminum wheels with black beadlock rings.
For those that prefer more of a non-glossy finish, the recently-revealed Bronco Dark Trail concept package features a variety of matte black items, though it’s merely a preview of a potential future Ford Custom Garage offering. Regardless, the new Black Appearance Package is one of many updates present in the 2025 Ford Bronco lineup, which also includes the addition of a matte clear film option.
The 2025 Ford Bronco isn’t getting any sort of price increase – save for the Base trim, which is returning following a one-year absence, as it’s a little over $3,000 pricier than it was for the 2023 model year. As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2025 Ford Bronco is getting a pair of new offerings – the Stroppe Edition and Free Wheeling Package – both of which are retro throwbacks to the SUV’s past. However, the Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage Limited, and Black Diamond series have been deleted, though the latter moniker is now being used as the name for a newly optional package. Otherwise, there are a host of other tweaks present throughout the lineup.
2025 Ford Bronco models equipped with the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine now come standard with Electric Brake Boost rather than the old vacuum brake boost setup. The entire lineup is getting ambient footwell lighting as standard equipment, while the heated steering wheel is included as standard on the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Raptor trims.
The 12-inch digital gauge cluster is now included as standard equipment, the Bronco Badlands has gained the HOSS 3.0 suspension as an option, and the FITS system present in the Ford Maverick is now available, too. In four-door models equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission, the rear HVAC vents have moved from the floor to the rear portion of the center console, though much of the lineup has lost its grab handles and the entire range has ditched the wireless charging pad. Finally, the 2025 Ford Bronco Raptor is adding three new exterior color options, but is also losing a total of six.

Just another Ford Fail, my issue is Ford is giving you a Shadow Black painted hard top, and then drops the ball by giving MIC handle, mirror cap, grill and fender flares. WTH it should all be Shadow Black Painted. On top of that if you get the Badlands, you don’t get shadow black wheels unless you get the SAS pkg. Ford needs to do Better!
