The 2025 Ford Escape soldiers on without any major changes or updates to the crossover. Previously, Ford Authority laid out all optional packages the crossover has to offer, and now, we’re presenting a guide to its six unique wheel options, including pricing and what it takes to get each one.
The first set is the 19-inch Machined-face aluminum wheels with Dark Tarnished painted pockets, which are standard on the 2025 Escape Platinum. The base Escape Active gets the 17-inch Shadow Silver painted aluminum wheels, while the 18-inch Machined-face Magnetic Aluminum wheels with painted pockets are standard fare on the Escape PHEV.
The 18-inch Rock Metallic painted aluminum wheels are standard on the ST-Line and ST-Line Select, while the 19-inch Machined-face Ebony-painted aluminum wheels are optional for the ST-Line Select, adding $365 to the crossover, and are standard (no-cost) on the ST-Line Elite. Finally, the 19-inch Ebony-painted aluminum wheels are optional on the ST-Line Elite for $195.
Changes on deck for the 2025 Ford Escape include changes to 360-degree camera availability no longer a standard option on ST-Line Elite or Platinum trims, although it can still be had in certain packages. The Cold Weather Package, meanwhile, was formerly a standard inclusion on all all-wheel-drive (AWD) models, but is now an optional extra across the board.
The standard power liftgate is also a thing of the past, at least for Active and ST-Line trims, but it remains standard fare on ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, Platinum, and PHEV. Ambient lighting is also gone, as are the body color moldings on ST-Line series trims, and their aluminum pedals. Meanwhile, the Premium packages now feature ActiveX seating surfaces as part of their bundles.
The aforementioned changes mean that the 2025 Ford Escape is actually more affordable than its 2024 model year counterpart. The base Active trim starts at $27,995, which is $1,500 less than the 2024 model of the same trim. On the other end of the spectrum, the priciest trim remains the PHEV, which is now $38,400, down $2,100 from the 2024 model year.
Production of the 2025 Ford Escape, which is handled at the at the Louisville Assembly plant in Kentucky, started on September 19th, 2024.
