2025 Ford Expedition Adds New Space Silver Color: First Look

The 2025 Ford Expedition gets some major changes to its exterior color lineup, including the addition of three new colors. These colors are called Space Silver Metallic and Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat. Here’s a first look at the former, Space Silver Metallic.

Tagged with paint code A3, Space Silver Metallic is offered on all 2025 Ford Expedition trims, including  Active, Tremor, Platinum, and King Ranch. It’s a zero-cost option for the SUV, and is one of eight available colors. The full color lineup is as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Agate Black Metallic (UM)
  • Dark Matter Gray Metallic (HY)
  • Oxford White (YZ)
  • Star White Metallic Tri-Coat (AZ)
  • Stone Blue Metallic (C8)
  • Wild Green (FC)
  • Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat (R7) (New for 2025)
  • Space Silver Metallic (A3) (New for 2025)

Meanwhile, the following are all available interior colorways:

  • Dark Gray
  • Space Gray
  • Cypress
  • Black Onyx
  • Salt Crystal Gray
  • Mojave Dusk
  • Mesa

Finally, the following are all 2025 Ford Expedition trims:

  • Active
  • Tremor
  • Platinum
  • King Ranch

While three new colors are being added, three are being deleted. That means Race Red, Iconic Silver, and Jewel Red are no longer available on the Expedition.

The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition just debuted a little over a month ago spotting fresh styling, a split rear liftgate, and a completely revamped interior with a new 24-inch panoramic display that doubles as the instrument cluster and is paired with an 13.2-inch center screen. All of these changes come at a cost, however, as the 2025 Expedition is quite a bit pricier than the outgoing model. For reference, the base Active model starts at $61,700, not including destination freight charges – that’s over $2,000 more than the same trim cost for the 2024 model year.

Standout features include the new split liftgate, which improves ease of access to the SUV’s back, while it also gets the all-new Tremor trim. It is also one of the few models in The Blue Oval’s lineup to retain the factory keyless entry keypad.

Production of the 2025 Expedition, which is handled at the Kentucky Truck plant, is scheduled to kick off in early January 2025, as reported by Ford Authority.
