2025 Ford F-100 Announcement Is AI Generated Nonsense

Artificial intelligence (AI) has its advantages, allowing anyone to create almost anything with a few strokes of the keyboard. Unfortunately, some trolls on the internet have harnessed that unfettered creative power to mislead unsuspecting internet users; such as a recent “news” story that suggested Ford Motor Company had been acquired by Tesla founder Elon Musk. A new AI-generated story recently surfaced, seemingly showing off the retro 2025 Ford F-100 pickup, and we hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s absolutely untrue.

Screenshot of the AI-generated 2025 Ford F-100.

This so-called announcement video shows what appears to be a classic red Ford pickup with chrome brightwork, but it’s clear that it’s not real. For starters, the Ford script on the hood is uneven and the shadows don’t make sense given the lighting sources in the image. Its environment also doesn’t make sense, as it appears to be parked in a hotel lobby, and we don’t think we need to say it, but that’s a strange place for a pickup to be parked. Moreover, the license plate has gibberish “lettering” that cannot be read, along with the chrome bits on the truck’s side.

That’s to say nothing of the narration, either. Not only is the voice clearly AI generated without natural human inflection, the script is obviously also AI-generated, with emotionless and unnecessarily flowery language packed with a suspicious number of buzzwords. As the narration goes on, the scenes keep changing, and different views of the supposed 2025 Ford F-100 don’t even show the same truck in the same environment, suggesting that its creator generated multiple images using a single prompt.

There’s no 2025 Ford F-100 inbound, and even if there was, it wouldn’t look like this one. This video was clearly created to pull a fast one on old-school Ford fans who would give their left leg to see a pickup like this make a comeback.

However, it may not be entirely misguided. There’s slim evidence that a Ford F-200 might be in the works. Last year, Ford Authority dug up a trademark filing for the nameplate, but so far, that’s as far as it’s gone.

  1. If Ford would go retro they’d sell thousands upon thousands.

  2. I have a similar Black 1956 F 100 KinSmart metal replica on my desk. I guess this is AI showing
us what we have missed (I was a child in ’50s.) I don’t think Ford has made a more beautiful pickup since. The 21st century F -150+ that can barely fit inside a lane holds no allure for me.

  3. There has been TON’S of FAKE AI generated Garbage showing up on YouTube!!! It’s ALL FAKE. I hardly think all these BRAND NEW Chevells and Ford Torinos are gonna be on the streets any time soon IF AT ALL!!! I’d Say Most Likely “NEVER”!!!

  4. I wouldn’t give my left leg for that because I’d need it to run the clutch.

  5. While attending the 1988 Super Bowl (winner of a Ford of Canada dealer contest!!) in San Diego my wife and I went down to Tijuana. We walked into a Ford dealership and there was nobody around. There was a pickup on the showroom floor and it was an F200. It had a 300″ six and a 4 speed. It had ECC Zero ignition meaning plugs, points and condenser. It had a roxatone painted treatment in the single sided box. After about twenty minutes we left and there was still nobody there. Siesta time.

  7. If Ford did the f100 redo it wouldn’t be an exact copy of the original ! If the AI creator really wanted to make a buzz they should have shown a more realistic version of what Ford would do just like with the Mustang- it’s not an exact copy but has a lot of design features carried over.

  8. First; to meet today’s safety standard the truck design would have to change drastically. Even so; it would be very expensive to make. The final results would not look the same and would be priced out of the market for a lot of people. As a result sales would not be that great and it would fall by the wayside similar to the PT Cruiser and GM’s retro truck.
