2025 Ford Maverick Drops Spray-In Bedliner Delete Option

From the day it launched for the 2022 model year, the Ford Maverick has experienced its fair share of supply chain constraints, which included the optional Tough Bed spray-in bedliner. Long a constrained option, this feature was previously listed as a “delete option” for the refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick as well, suggesting that the automaker was still having trouble securing the materials needed to provide it to customers. However, that delete option has now been dropped.

The 2025 Ford Maverick will regain the Tough Bed spray-in bedliner as an option for Job 2 production, which impacts pickups built on or after February 2nd, 2025. Ford doesn’t anticipate experiencing any additional constraints for the spray-in bedliner moving forward as its production capacity has increased, which is good news for anyone looking to equip their 2025 Ford Maverick with that feature. The Tough Bed spray-in bedliner is a $495 option for XL, XLT, and Lobo trims, and is standard on the Lariat and Tremor.

Aside from this and various other tweaks included as part of the 2025 Ford Maverick refresh, the compact pickup is also gaining a few other things as part of its forthcoming Job 2 production update. That includes the addition of Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, both of which are currently standard on the Lariat trim. Additionally, the all-new, sporty 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo – which is currently only available with the 702A equipment group – will be getting a less expensive option with the 402A equipment group for Job 2 as well.

As Ford Authority reported earlier this week, the base 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo will start out at $35,100 when it debuts next year, minus the destination charge of $1,595. That’s a rather significant $5,395 less than the better- equipped 702A version at $40,495, which should help it appeal more to value-conscious shoppers who want a sporty compact pickup but don’t necessarily need or want a bevy of features.

  1. No way you are going to see the Lobo at base price for the first year. Ford dealerships will mark them up like they always do with anything remotely good or new to market.

  2. I would like to know why the 2025 Ford Maverick does not have a trim opinion for a rear sliding glass window or fog lamps . I have ordered a new Maverick XLT with 2.0 engine with AWD . I am very disappointed that these 2 options are not available on the XLT . There is not a after market sliding glass window available that the dealership can install for me when it arrives there . Is there any way I can have these to options added to my order since the production has not started to build my truck yet my build number is J116 .. Thanks you for letting me add my comment . Please let me know that you have read my comment and if these options can be put on my build or not ? I am willing to pay for these extra options. These are more questions than comments.

  3. I work closely with the facilities for the tough bed spray on liners. Ford has plenty of capacity and there are no material shortages. Every unit is turned around in 24 hours.
