2025 Ford Maverick Lobo Photo Gallery

The 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo broke cover a few months ago, adding a bold twist to the popular compact pickup line with a dose of sporty aggression. Today, Ford Authority highlights the Maverick Lobo, walking you through what makes the speedy pickup stand out amongst its “regular” Maverick peers.

The Maverick Lobo name translates to “wolf” in Spanish, and the pickup is certainly fitting of the moniker. It features a special front fascia with a wide, blacked-out grille and generous lower intakes that would look right at home on the maw of a race car. The Ford oval is also blacked out, framed by a pair of LED projector headlamps and signature accent lighting. It also features a painted grille accent bar.

Retro 19-inch turbofan-style Black painted aluminum wheels are situated in all four corners of the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo, complementing its other dark-themed exterior accents. A standard black-painted roof gives it a sporty duotone paint scheme, while its painted door handles blend in seamlessly with its body color, as do its painted rocker panels.

Out back, the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo features LED taillamps and a painted rear bumper with an offset license plate bracket. The back Ford insignia, too, is blacked out, adding to the pickup’s overall dark persona.

As for mechanical goodies, the 2025 Ford Maverick Lobo coaxes 238 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque from its turbocharged 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engine, paired with the seven-speed automatic transmission lifted straight from the Ford Edge ST. However, it does get some notable upgrades in the form of torque vectoring, tuned steering, a tuned suspension and dual-piston front brake calipers, and the all-new Lobo drive mode. It also gets all the upgrades included in the optional 4K Tow Package – namely, the larger radiator and fan, and a beefed-up transmission oil cooler.

Inside, the Maverick Lobo gets unique accent stitching on both its seats and its steering wheel. It also packs Ford CoPilot 360 tech, which adds safety features like lane-keeping alerts and assist, plus road edge detection, intersection assist, and Pre-Collision Assist.

As Ford Authority previously covered, the 2025 Ford Maverick is quite a bit more expensive than its 2024 model year predecessor, putting its starting price above the $26K mark. The Maverick Lobo, for its part, starts at $42,885, including destination freight charges.

  1. Can’t get past those ugly black wheels on the Lobo. They would probably look good if they were polished aluminum though.

  2. We Maverick owners most agree that this poor redesign makes it the Ugliest truck of the year!!! The poor truck is so ashamed of the insect face they put on that it covers its eyes. They should fire whoever came up with this design and who approved it.
Ford is loosing its leadership with desperate desin move. It looks foreign, not like the initial premise of the F150 s little brother. I’m glad i got my ’22 Mav before Ford caved in to the new gen visionless designers.
