2025 Ford Super Duty Adds Ruby Red Metallic: First Look

There are two new colors joining the lineup for the 2025 Ford Super Duty: Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Here’s a first look at Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Appropriately, RR is the paint code assigned to Ruby Red Metallic. Offered as a $495 extra, Ruby Red can be added to select 2025 Ford Super Duty trims, including XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Platinum Plus; it’s not available on the base XL trim. It can also be paired with all available interior colorways.

As a reminder, there are 16 total colors on offer for the 2025 Ford Super Duty. They are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Agate Black Metallic (UM)

After undergoing a notable refresh for the 2023 model year, the 2025 Ford Super Duty line stays more or less the same in terms of interior and exterior styling. However, there are some big changes in store concerning other aspects of the heady duty pickup. As Ford Authority has previously covered, the pickup now features standard V8 gasoline engines along with minor changes to its trim level lineup, dropping the Limited trim in favor of Platinum Plus.

It also loses a handful of exterior chrome accents, while the optional Sport Package has been nixed in favor of the new Black Appearance Package. Meanwhile, the Lariat trim gets new ActiveX seats inside. The heavy duty pickup line also drops certain SuperCab options.

Production of the 2025 Ford Super Duty, which takes place at the Kentucky Truck plant and Ohio Assembly plant, will commence on December 2nd, 2024, and January 21st, 2025, respectively. Pricing starts at $47,295 for the base 2025 Ford F-250 XL, including destination freight charges.
